Top Ten Tuesday- Top Ten Books of 2022

It’s the first Tuesday of 2023 and time for another TTT and this time it’s my top ten books of 2022. It has been hard narrowing this down to Ten but here we go.

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

It is going to be a challenge narrowing down my list to just ten but here we go.

Swashbucklers by Dan Hanks ( Review here)

I loved this sci-fi fantasy featuring a group of tired Gen Xers trying to fit in saving the world around the school run!

The Hourglass Throne by K D Edwards ( review here)

The Hourglass Throne is the perfect end to the first trilogy in the nine-book urban fantasy series, The Tarot Sequence series- magicians in the hidden city of Altana try to figure out a kind of closed hotel murder complicated by magic

May Day by Josie Jaffrey ( review here)

There was something about the blurb for May Day that left me intrigued and willing to try again the Vampire genre again. I’m so glad I did, May Day is a fresh, new take on Vampires with a modern and relatable heroine at its heart.

The Councillor by E J Beaton ( review here)

This book has plenty of action, drama, magic ( with magical people being hunted down) and violence as you would expect in any fantasy but with a good dose of political intrigue and manoeuvring
