An easy one this Top Ten Tuesday. Here are the books on my to read list this spring.
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
There are so many great book coming out this year , so making this list has been really easy. So in no particular order the books on my spring TBR list
One Foot in the Fade(The Fetch Phillips Archives #3)by Luke Arnold
I love the hapless Fetch who is trying to make amends in a world where he destroyed magic. In the third book in the series (review here), Fetch has to solve the mystery of the man who fell out of the sky.
Seven Devils(Seven Devils #1)by Laura Lam , Elizabeth May
Space opera, strong women, evil empire, and a race to save the world – that’s all my boxes ticked
The Nameless Ones,(Charlie Parker #19)by John Connolly
I have been reding the Chalie Parker series review here for years but ever so often a release slips by with me noticing. Charlie Parker’s friend and muscle Louis is the main focus in this book.
All Systems Red(The Murderbot Diaries #1)by Martha Wells
I keep hearing about this book, so I really need to take the plunge and read the first book in a series about a killing machine that isn’t very good at killing.
Swashbucklers by Dan Hanks
I loved Buffy and the idea of a Hellmouth , so a grown up trying to save his town from it’s hellmouth while navigating the school run and baby wipes sounds like book I have to read.
Kaikeyi,by Vaishnavi Patel
I’m intrigued by this one- can there be a positive spin on this woman demonised in Hindu Mythology.
The Discord of Gods(A Chorus of Dragons #5) by Jenn Lyons
This the last book in this series full of magic, dragons, twists, and larger than life characters ( series review here) but while I like the fact the story will have and ending , I will miss this world the author has created.
Her Majesty’s Royal Coven,(Her Majesty’s Royal Coven #1),by Juno Dawson.
The book had me by its title!
Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup by John Carreyrou
I’m jumping on the bandwagon on this one but after watching The Dropout I have to read this book about Elizabeth Holmes.
The Man Who Died Twice,(Thursday Murder Club #2)by Richard Osman
Sometimes all I need is a classic cosy crime with an eccentric group of detectives after reading a hardcore sci-fi space opera.

I’m excited for Her Majesty’s Royal Coven, I imagine it will make it onto my summer TBR. I need to get caught up with the Murderbot books. I enjoyed the first two.

Swashbucklers sounds like so much fun. I love the idea of throwing the fate of the town at an already overwhelmed parent. LOL! I hope you enjoy it.

There is a lack of frazzled parents in sci-fi and fantasy !

I’ve been curious about the Murderbot series for a while; I actually gave my husband the first book for Christmas, and I may have to borrow it from him and give it a try.
